Paul has spent 30 years of his 40-year career as a lawyer in Asia - 10 years in London, 25 years in Singapore, and the balance in Shanghai and Hong Kong. He has had the good fortune to investigate disputes and visit shipyards, repair yards, terminals, mines, and many foreign jurisdictions where he has conducted arbitration and mediation.  Paul has also met and worked with exceptionally talented experts in many different disciplines as well as with excellent senior counsel and lawyers.

As a hybrid solicitor/barrister, Paul has Higher Rights of Audience (Civil) to appear before the Higher Courts of the United Kingdom to conduct his own advocacy. In addition, Paul writes his own opinions, drafts submissions and conducts his own research.

After years at one of the world's largest law firms, Paul is now a Consultant at AsiaLegal LLC with a growing practice as an arbitrator. Besides arbitration, he is passionate about mediation a CEDR accredited mediator. Paul's professional experience is wide, from maritime and trade to construction, insurance and banking.

Although Paul resides in Singapore, he has a base in London, United Kingdom, and can accept appointments for arbitrations seated there with no additional costs.
