Joseph has sat as sole arbitrator and as part of a tribunal of 3 arbitrators in shipping and commodities disputes, in both administered as well as ad hoc arbitrations.

Apart from receiving appointment as arbitrator, Joseph regularly acts as counsel in international arbitrations in shipping and international trade disputes. Joseph has acted as counsel in arbitrations that are seated in Singapore, Hong Kong as well as London.  His scope of expertise includes bill of lading and charterparty disputes, marine insurance, commodities as well as trade finance.
