Prof. Neale R. Gregson
Academic & Arbitrator

Professor Neale Gregson is a full-time professional arbitrator and mediator and has been based in Singapore since 1991. 

He first began work in the field of maritime and commercial arbitration in 1983 in the City of London, qualified as a Chartered Arbitrator in 2001 and as an Accredited Mediator in 2002, and is a fellow and panel member of various international arbitration institutes and centres.

He has been appointed sole arbitrator under the rules of the Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration, Singapore International Arbitration Centre, International Chamber of Commerce, and UNCITRAL (among others); in more than 100 ad hoc cases as sole or party-appointed arbitrator; and as chairman or presiding arbitrator on several occasions.

Formerly a partner in international legal practice (and head of a thriving litigation and arbitration department in a major offshore firm in Singapore), he joined The Arbitration Chambers, Singapore in 2004.

In addition, he has taught maritime law and arbitration at the Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore since 2003.
