Donald is a Partner at the Hong Kong office of Reed Smith LLP.  He specialises in Hong Kong court litigation and international arbitration proceedings.

 

The Legal 500 ranks Donald as a “Rising Star” (2021) and a “Next Generation Partner” (2022-2023) in International Arbitration in Hong Kong. He is also recommended by Doyle’s Guide 2021 as one of the Leading Admiralty, Maritime & Shipping Lawyers in Hong Kong.  In 2022, Donald was named one of Hong Kong’s 10 Most Influential Lawyers Under 40 by Hong Kong Business.

Donald is a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators (FHKIArb).  He is on the list of arbitrators of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), Hong Kong Maritime Arbitration Group (HKMAG), China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC), Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration (SCMA) and Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC). He is the current Secretary of the Hong Kong Maritime Law Association (HKMLA).
