LMAA Arbitrator with extensive legal and practical marine engineering experience.
Service in the Royal Navy for 11 years as an engineer officer, mainly in nuclear submarines. Practical experience of all machinery operation from the nuclear reactor to the steam drains system.
Legal practice in London from 1976 dealing with all aspects of shipping law, particularly where my seagoing engineering experience was of use, ship building and repair, salvage, marine insurance. Responsible as case handler for numerous arbitration hearings.
Commenced practice as an arbitrator in 2006 and became a Full Member of the LMAA in 2015. Numerous awards either on documents alone or following hearings in relation to a wide range of shipping related disputes.
