Former arbitration partner with Korea’s largest law firm, Kim & Chang. Also previously practiced in international trade disputes and arbitration at Skadden, Arps, Meagher & Flom and Perkins Coie LLP in Washington, DC, and served as a full time faculty member of the Korea Military Academy.
International General Counsel of world’s largest shipbuilding company and responsible for overseeing all shipbuilding, maritime, offshore and construction disputes for HHI and its group affiliates. Served as sole, co-arbitrator and presiding arbitrator in international and domestic cases. Counsel in international arbitrations in Asia, Europe, Latin America and the North America, under rules including the ICC, AAA, SIAC, HKIAC, LCIA, KCAB, SCC, Netherlands Arbitration Institute, UNCITRAL and other ad hoc proceedings. Experiences include arbitrations involving M&A, joint venture, IP/IT, engineering and construction, distributorships, and shareholder disputes under governing laws from diverse civil and common law jurisdictions.
