Bhavik completed his LL.B (Hons) from Goa University (India) and undertook postgraduate studies at the National University of Singapore. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SIArb) and a CEDR Accredited Mediator.
He was trained at Crawford Bayley & Co. Mumbai (India) and Allen & Gledhill, Singapore.
He acts as Counsel in International Commercial Arbitrations administered by the HKIAC and AIAC, and is is empaneled as an Arbitrator on the Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration (SCMA) and the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators’ (SIArb) Secondary Panel, and the International Arbitrator Database of the Russian Arbitration Centre (RAC).
Bhavik comes from a mining business background and has over the last 18 years, played senior advisory and executive roles in commercial, operational, finance and handling legal matters inhouse. His cross-border experience extends to international mining investments, and commercial transactions including contracts for the sale of goods, railway and port contracts etc. His transactional, litigation and dispute resolution experience is across a range of matters involving partnerships, joint ventures, mining services contracts, sale contracts, ship building contracts, charter parties, and letters of credit.
He is currently based out of Goa, India.
