Winston practices law as a Partner at Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP.  Since his admission as an Advocate & Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 1991, he has specialized in international trade and transportation and the resolution of trade, maritime and shipping disputes in litigation, arbitrator and mediator, as counsel, arbitrator or mediator.

Winston is the Editor of Marine Insurance, Halsbury’s Laws of Singapore and from 2003 to 2016, taught the Law of Marine Insurance at the Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore, as an Adjunct Associate Professor.

He has been recognized as a leading maritime lawyer in publications such as Chambers Global, Legal 500, Euromoney’s The Best of the Best, Best Lawyers, and as a Shipping Dispute Star in Benchmark Litigation - Asia Pacific.

Since 2003, Winston has also been appointed as an Independent Director on the Boards of public listed companies and currently sits on the Boards of BH Global Ltd and Penguin International Ltd.
