Before joining the Danish Law firm Bech-Bruun, he was with the Danish Law Firm Kromann Reumert for six years. He was admitted to the bar in 1979 after having obtained his Master of Laws at the University of Copenhagen. Throughout his career, he has specialized in disputes relating to the maritime sector, oil & gas, offshore construction as well as insurance and international trade. He has acted as counsel in numerous disputes before Danish and international Tribunals and the Danish courts, including the Supreme Court, and he has been appointed arbitrator in a large number of matters. He is also regularly used as a mediator in commercial disputes. He has written a number of articles within his field of specialization in Danish and Scandinavian Law Gazettes, including articles in the European Transport Law as well as Lloyd’s List.
